National Toxicology Program (NTP) scientists, in a $30 Million study, have concluded that there’s clear evidence cell phone radiation causes cancer.
During the course of the Government funded research which took 10 years to complete, 30,000 rats and mice were exposed to cell phone radiation nine hours a day over two years.
The radiation exposure started before birth continuing until the rodents were about 2 years old.
The analysis of the results led to the shocking discovery of malignant glioma, a deadly brain cancer, and heart tumours in male rats.
The association between radiation and tumours among the female rats was however unclear.
“We believe that the link between radio frequency radiation and tumours in male rats is real, and the external experts agreed,” coauthor John Bucher said in a statement.
For their study, the scientists used radio frequency radiation used in 2G and 3G cellphones made in the 1990s and 2000s. The latest cellphones, however, use 4G technology, which doesn’t penetrate the body nearly as much.
“The exposures used in the studies cannot be compared directly to the exposure that humans experience when using a cell phone,” Bucher said. “In our studies, rats and mice received radio frequency radiation across their whole bodies. By contrast, people are mostly exposed in specific local tissues close to where they hold the phone. In addition, the exposure levels and durations in our studies were greater than what people experience.”

Whilst the findings are shocking to say the least, the FDA has assured Americans that current recommendations for cellphone radiation limits make cellphones’ use safe.
These studies did not investigate the types of RFR used for Wi-Fi or 5G networks.
